NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - Recent tests of the City of Nacogdoches' drinking water supply indicate there is no problem with lead and copper in the public water system. About 30 sites were tested.
The city did miss the Sept. 30 deadline to submit this information to the state. As a result, the results were submitted back in November.
"In the future, the City of Nacogdoches will ensure all monitoring tests are completed and subm, itted to TCEQ in a timely manner," City Manager Jim Jeffers said in a statement: "This was an administrative error which has resulted in having to send notices in the water bills, but our water remains safe to drink and use as normal."
