NACOGDOCHES, Texas (Press Release)– For three seasons, the overwhelming majority of offensive snaps at Stephen F. Austin involved the senior combination of center Anthony Pullins and quarterback Zach Conque. The duo will get one last chance to take the field together as both have been invited to the College Gridiron Showcase All Star Event, being held January 7-11, 2017, in Bedford, Texas.
"Obviously we're very proud of both Anthony and Zach to receive this opportunity to represent Stephen F. Austin," said head coach Clint Conque. "They'll be out there on a big stage in front of NFL scouts and management from all 32 teams, getting to showcase their respective skill sets against top players from across the country. Both Anthony and Zach were significant starters for us during their time here and we're excited for them to have the chance to extend SFA's reputation in the NFL."

The College Gridiron Showcase and Symposium is quickly becoming one of the premiere events for collegiate seniors, now in its third season of providing exposure and education for players across all levels of college football. It is the first all-star event to implement a format for football professionals, showcasing participants through practices and a controlled scrimmage to representatives from both the NFL and CFL. To date, the Showcase has produced 13 NFL Draft picks with 106 participants signing undrafted free agent contracts.
Invitees were selected by a panel of football experts and the experience consists of many off-field activities as well. Athletes have the opportunity to have personal interviews with team representatives, as well as seminars relating to financial education, media and social media training as well as first-hand accounts from former NFL players and coaches.
