LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - The Texas Department of Transportation is reporting that two wrecks have occurred near Zavalla.
TxDOT's Lufkin District tweeted that a crash involving a large truck occurred on U.S. Highway 69 South near Zavalla Friday afternoon. The north and southbound lanes of Highway 69 were closed in that area. One person was taken to the hospital in that wreck.
A second crash was also reported on State Highway 63, also near Zavalla.
"Prepare for delays," the tweet stated. "Ice reported on roadways in some rural areas."
A dispatcher with the Sabine County Sheriff's Office said snow had been reported on the south end of the county. There had been reports of vehicles sliding around the road, but no injuries reported, he said.
