NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) -

The Nacogdoches Independent School District school board members met for the first time on Tuesday after returning from the holidays and the Superintendent position has not been finalized.

The school board members went into a closed door-session after discussing agenda items and no decisions were made on appointing a new superintendent.

The board is weighing all options before making a decision.

As questions remain on who will be the new Superintendent, a quick look on the website showed that the online application had been taken down. Board President Steve Green said he was not aware that applicants couldn't apply to the position.
"I would have to investigate that. We'll be discussing it tonight to see if we're going to do anything with it. But no action will be taken tonight. It’s just going to be a discussion," Green said.

The next school board meeting is on January 19.
