NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - Wednesday was a big day for KTRE and an SFA student.
The spring Raycom/KTRE scholarship was proudly presented to Bridget Taylor. The radio-TV major from the Bullard area received a $500 scholarship, but more importantly has gained a mentorship. Throughout the semester Taylor will gain career development, job skills and exposure to TV news.
"Recruiting is a huge challenge for all industries and especially for the TV business," KTRE General Manager Pat Stacey said. "We've got to attract new, young talent on the news end, marketing, engineering and IT and even sales, so we can have a good robust workforce for the future. It's critical."
Bridget Taylor will mentor with KTRE's Erika Bazaldua for career development. Other recent Raycom/KTRE scholarship recipients are Nytesia Ross and Bobby Mauro.
