NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - Nacogdoches Police officers arrested a 22-year-old man on a tampering with evidence charge after he allegedly tried to eat some marijuana during a traffic stop that occurred on Starr Avenue Sunday night.
Kameron Dewayne Lovelace, of Nacogdoches, is still being held in the Nacogdoches County jail on a third-degree felony tampering with physical evidence charge. No bail amount has been set yet.
According to the Nacogdoches Police Department's daily activity report, NPD officers pulled a car over in the 100 block of E. Starr Avenue at about 9:57 p.m. Sunday. Lovelace was a passenger in the car, and NPD officers saw him trying to eat some marijuana to destroy evidence, according to Lt. Tim Goerner, a spokesman for the Nacogdoches Police Department.
Lovelace was arrested at the scene and taken to the county jail.
