LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - A home health agency which boasts serving 20,000 agencies throughout 160 counties in the state will be closing several offices, three of which are in Deep East Texas.
Christine Mann, the press officer for Texas Health and Human Services, said her office had received notification from the Bethany Home Health that seven offices would be closing effective Jan. 27.
Those offices include two in Nacogdoches and one in Lufkin.
A representative with the company had not returned a call for comment as of 11:20 a.m. Wednesday.
Several clients and workers with the company have called KTRE seeking answers, saying the company has not been in communication with them about the future of its services.
Mann said the company indicated they are assisting physicians and patients in finding other placement to ensure continuity of care.
A note on the locked door of the Lufkin location stated checks were mailed out from "are corporate office."
