SABINE COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - Deputies with the Sabine County Sheriff's Office arrested a 35-year-old San Augustine man on felony child endangerment and drug charges after meth was discovered in his home on Jan. 14. Two children were in the home where the deputies found the meth, according to the sheriff's office.
Justin Lee Callaway was arrested and charged with three felonies - manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance and two counts of endangering a child-criminal negligence.
Chief Deputy George Griffith with the Sabine County Sheriff's Office said Callaway was arrested over the weekend. Griffith said SCSO deputies went to Callaway's home on Strickland Crossing to check out another matter and found methamphetamine in the home.
Griffith said that Callaway was charged with two counts of endangering a child because two children were in the home when the deputies found the meth. Griffith wouldn't give the children's ages and just said they were both minors.
