NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - An additional aggravated sexual assault of a child charge has been filed against a Nacogdoches man who was arrested last year in connection to allegations that he sexually assaulted a 9-year-old girl.
According to the arrest affidavit, Alfredo Torres Reyes, 41, of Nacogdoches, also sexually assaulted the same girl while she was at a lake in San Augustine County.
He also accused of sexually assaulting the girl on numerous occasions at his home in Nacogdoches county.
Reyes is still being held in the San Augustine County jail on a first-degree felony aggravated sexual assault of a child charge.
A detective with the San Augustine Sheriff's Office met with a sergeant with the Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office on March 3, 2016. The NCSO sergeant told him that Reyes had sexually assaulted a then-9year-old girl numerous times in both Nacogdoches and San Augustine counties.
The NCSO sergeant was present for the alleged victim's forensic interview at Harold's House on March 1, 2016.
The girl told the interviewer that while she was at a lake in San Augustine, Reyes sexually assaulted her twice while she was underwater, the affidavit stated. After each alleged assault, Reyes tossed her in the air, the affidavit stated.
According to the arrest affidavit, the girl told the interviewer that this was the first time Reyes sexually assaulted her and that it happened when she was about 7 years old. The other sexual assaults allegedly took place at Reyes' home on County Road 810 in Nacogdoches County.
When she talked about one of the sexual assaults that occurred at Reyes' home in Nacogdoches County, the girl said he carried her into a bedroom, where he removed her shorts and sexually assaulted her, according to the previous affidavit. After the sexual assault was finished, Reyes allegedly told her not to tell anyone what had happened and gave her money.
"Sheriff investigators have learned that Reyes is in the country illegally, and Homeland Security was notified," a press release stated.
A SANE exam was also performed on the girl at Harold's House. The sexual assault nurse examiner found scarring that was consistent with the victim's claim that she had been sexually assaulted on multiple occasions, the affidavit stated.
