CENTER, TX (KTRE) - A Center man used a steak knife and even led officers to the weapon after killing a man and injuring another early Thursday morning, according to an affidavit.
Ka Paw Htoo, 19, is charged with first-degree murder and second-degree aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
According to an arrest affidavit KTRE obtained on Friday, police were dispatched to the corner of Shelbyville Street and Hill Avenue at 3:30 a.m. and found a man, later identified as Yee Ka, 20, slumped over on the sidewalk and not moving. While processing the scene, police were called to a second location, where they found Aung Naing, with stabbing injuries.
The affidavit states Naing identified Htoo as the suspect.
Officers then went to the 1100 block of Shelbyville Street and say Htoo came to the door and said he was ready to go, so he could tell the story. Htoo then led officers to the steak knife, which was on an empty lot off of Bridges Street.
