LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) -

It was a dream come true for a Lufkin man who attended the inauguration on Friday.

Todd Foley is a head baseball coach and government teacher in Diboll.

He said he had never been able to go before and it was exciting to see the traditions of our great nation.

He and wife, Mandy, made the journey to Washington, D.C to experience what he calls a historic event.

"Being a history and government teacher, it’s a once in a lifetime deal to witness a part of history and be up close to witness that. It will be a lifetime memory,” Foley said.

The government teacher said he will share his experience with his students, who normally don't get an opportunity such as this.
