After being adopted once, Loki is looking for a second chance

NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - Loki, a domestic long-hair cat, is just looking for a home at no fault of his own.

"He is a male, and he is neutered, current on everything," said Animal Control Officer Thersea Jordan. "He was adopted from here and brought back. His previous owner was strongly allergic."

So he has ended up back at the Nacogdoches Animal Shelter that he was adopted from

"Sometimes you just don't know until you get him in house," Jordan said. "People sometimes have difficulty with shorter hair cats than longer hair cats."

Now he looks out the window from his cage, looking for his next home.

"He's been with us for a little while not too terribly long," Jordan said. "Typically our black cats tend to stay longer than other. I don't know why. I think he is perfectly fine."

Jordan said he has been good with families that have looked at him and would be good for anyone.

"He's perfectly happy to be a lap cat," Jordan said. "He doesn't mind being held. You can tote him around most of the day and he wouldn't protest much."

Until then he will enjoy his company at the shelter dreaming of a forever home.

If you're interested in adopting Loki just contact the Nacogdoches Animal Shelter off the loop. They're open Monday to Saturday but closed on the Sundays.
