TRINITY COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - After the Trinity County Sheriff's Office got a probable cause search warrant to search a home in the Pine Crest community, they made two felony drug arrests and seized a large amount of methamphetamine.
The execution of the search warrant led to a third arrest at a pawn shop a short time later.
"We followed up on a complaint, and we got enough evidence for a probable cause search warrant," said Trinity County Sheriff Woody Wallace.
Wallace said when they got to the mobile home in the Pine Crest community, one of people they arrested there admitted that there was meth in the home. However, the search revealed more illegal drugs than the suspect said, Wallace said. The sheriff said the search of the home turned up more than 4 grams of meth.
"This place is now closed for business," Wallace said in video he posted to his Facebook page. "One meth house down. Of course, we've got a few more to go."
A short time later, a TCSO deputy arrested a another suspect after the deputy spoke to the person at a pawn shop about some stolen property. The third suspect found to be in possession of more than a gram of meth, Wallace said.
Wallace said the house and property in the Pine Crest community will be seized by the state and Trinity County. He added the house and property will be on the auction block soon.
