NACOGDOCHES COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - Deputies with the Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office arrested a 32-year-old man on a felony drug charge Sunday after a probable cause search of his vehicle revealed more than a pound of cocaine hidden in the dash of his vehicle.
Rosalino Pimentel-Soto, of Houston, is still being held in the Nacogdoches County jail on a first-degree felony manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance between 1 and 400 grams charge. No bail amount has been set yet.
According to a press release, NCSO deputies stopped a blue Ford SUV for a traffic violation at about 2:30 p.m. Sunday. Soto, the driver and only occupant of the vehicle, allegedly started acting very nervous and gave conflicting stories about his destination and the purpose for his trip.
After the NCSO deputies got permission to search Soto's SUV, they found more than a pound of cocaine hidden in the vehicle's dashboard, the press release stated.
Soto was arrested at the scene and taken to the county jail.
In addition to the manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance charge, an immigration hold was also placed on Soto by the Department of Homeland Security.
