LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - Meet Nala, She's active, adorable, and asking if you could be her forever home.
She's a 2 year old- husky mix that loves the outdoors, and loves to burn off energy by running her heart out. Kurth Memorial Animal shelter says she is an alpha dog so she may need to be an only pet. She is also very active so plenty of space will be needed but she is as sweet as she could be. Nala was brought in as a stray and soon after had a litter of puppies. All of the puppies found homes and now she is looking for hers.
"She is a great sweet dog," Shelter Director Aaron Ramsey said. "Very high energy. She wants to get out and run around in the park. They're in the kennel there and they don't get to get out and get as much energy out. As you can see, as soon as we got to the park today she was ready to run."
Until Feb. 14 Nala's adoption fee has been reduced to $14.
