LUFKIN, TX (Press Release)- Angelina College’s Lady Roadrunner softball team loaded onto the bus on Tuesday looking like a contingency of walking wounded. With one pitcher sick, another injured and other players working through nagging injuries, AC’s ladies weren’t at full strength as they headed to Port Arthur for a doubleheader against Lamar State College-Port Arthur. They even suffered a few injuries during Tuesday’s games, leaving the team slightly short-handed.
The Lady ‘Runners had plenty left in the tank, however, taking 13-9 and 9-8 wins over the Lady Seahawks.

Miranda Wiggins went 3-for-4 with a triple, Taylor Davis drove in four runs with two hits and Lauren Garza doubled twice to drive in three runs in the 9-8 win in the nightcap.
