The National Weather Service has canceled a Tornado Watch for several counties in East Texas.
We continue to track a large complex of showers and thunderstorms that are racing off to the east at around 30 to 40 mph.
Because of flooding, the City of Lufkin has blocked off Groesbeck Street between First and Second streets.
At this time, areas west of the U.S. Highway 59 corridor are now in the clear. That means the severe weather threat has passed, with only a few lingering showers possible for the next few hours.
The watch was originally scheduled to expire at 3 p.m.
