Autopsy shows Mesquite man died of heart problem before driving into Houston County creek

HOUSTON COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

A Mesquite man died of a heart problem before driving into a Houston County creek in December, according to an autopsy report.

Brett Agee, 54, died at the scene, located on Forest Service Road 527E, about eight miles east of Kennard, on Dec. 29.

According to the DPS report, Agee was driving a 2014 Toyota pickup west on the road when he left the road and drove into a creek.

Justice of the Peace Clyde Black ordered an autopsy, which came back on Tuesday. The report lists arterioslerotic heart disease as the cause of death.
