CROCKETT, TX (KTRE) - Crockett police have arrested a Crockett man accused of inappropriately touching a girl while she was on her way home from school on Thursday.

Stacy Bernard Henry, 39, is charged with second-degree indecency with a child and third-degree retaliation.

According to an arrest affidavit, police were dispatched to a home and the grandmother of a girl said her grandmother said she was walking home from school when a man she did not know the name of stopped her and began to have an inappropriate conversation with her. She said he then touched her inappropriately as he hugged her.

The girl was able to describe the home where it occurred and she said the man had plaid pajama pants, a gray hoodie, a black cap and multiple tattoos, including one of a tire on his neck. The girl also provided a number that the man gave her, according to the affidavit.

Police then went to the 100 block of Ralph Bunch Road and located the house the girl described. They then talked to a man with the description she provided and identified him as Henry. He said he was sitting underneath the carport when a girl walked by and he yelled at her to ask about insurance information that her mother may know. He then changed his story several times and admitted to hugging the girl, according to the affidavit.

Police then decided to arrest Henry and escorted him to a patrol vehicle. The affidavit states Henry said he had trouble getting inside the vehicle and said "that what make me want to kill the ... police when I see them, with dope dealers they got them big guns."

Police told Henry that he was making threats and Henry replied "back by saying that he didn't make threats he makes promises."

Police then added a charge of retaliation.
