ANGELINA COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - A Lufkin man is in jail after a Saturday morning pursuit.
According to Angelina County Lt. Ray Stubbs, at 2:30 a.m. the Angelina County Sheriff's Department initiated a traffic stop on a suspect wanted out of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice for a parole violation on an original charge of Burglary of a Habitation.
A pursuit ensued which originated near the intersection of US HWY 69 S. and McAdams Rd, continuing north on FM 326N to US HWY 103E, then east to Loop 287.
Deputies were joined by the Lufkin Police Department and the Texas Department of Public Safety, according to the ACSO.
The pursuit continued south on Loop 287 where spike strips were successfully deployed. The suspect then led law enforcement to Copeland and finally 101 Bending Oak where the pursuit was terminated and the suspect was taken into custody.
Bradley Wayne Ogden, 34 years old of Lufkin, is being held in the Angelina County Jail on the parole warrant, Evading Arrest or Detention with Vehicle, a state jail felony, and a warrant for Aggravated Assault/Family Member/with Weapon, a 2nd-degree felony.
