NACOGDOCHES COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

Deputies with the Nacogdoches County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 19-year-old man Monday in connection to allegations that he sexually assaulted a 7-year-old boy multiple times in the period from March 2015 to March 2016.

James Michael Baker, of Round Rock, was booked into the Nacogdoches County Jail Monday morning on two first-degree aggravated sexual assault of a child charges. He was released from the jail later that day, and the jail website did not specify his jail amounts.

According to the arrest affidavit obtained by Texas Ranger James Hicks, a detective with the Nacogdoches County Sheriff’s Office informed him that the victim’s mother made the outcry about the alleged sexual assaults on Feb. 18.

The 7-year-old victim’s mother told the NCSO detective that Baker had sexually assaulted the boy on numerous occasions between March of 2015 and March of 2016.

The alleged victim’s mother learned of the alleged sexual assaults when she was getting her son ready to go out to eat, the affidavit stated. When the boy was reluctant to go into detail about what had happened, his mother allegedly offered him $100 to explain further.

The alleged victim told his mother that he and Baker had touched each other’s private parts and that they performed oral sex on each other, the affidavit stated.

According to the affidavit, the alleged victim recounted the same story to a forensic interviewer at Harold’s House.
