No students injured in two-vehicle wreck involving Nacogdoches ISD bus

NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) -

No students were injured in a two-vehicle wreck involving a Nacogdoches ISD school bus and another vehicle that occurred Monday morning at the corner of Austin and Pearl streets, according to a press release from the school district.

The press release stated the wreck occurred at about 8:30 a.m. Wednesday. It involved Nacogdoches ISD Bus No. 1 and another vehicle.

Fourteen Nacogdoches High School students were on the bus when the wreck occurred. No injuries were reported at the scene, and the students were transported to school by another bus.

“Nacogdoches emergency responders were at the scene, and everyone involved was check and released,” the press release stated. “The safety and security of our students and staff is our top priority. NISD administrators were on the scene, and NISD Officer Ram Mendiola signed to release EMS after everyone was cleared.”

Nacogdoches ISD”s transportation director contacted the parents of the students involved in the wreck.
