Von is ready to move out of the Nacogdoches Animal Shelter

Von, a 2-year-old corgi/hound mix, was brought into the Nacogdoches Animal Shelter after being picked up from the streets a month ago.

Von, thought at first to be a female, had already been fixed and was showed signs of house training. The staff said despite being abandoned, he has a calm and relaxed personality. Care givers tell us his kind-hearted nature and small size make him the perfect animal for any home or apartment.

"He loves to be rubbed on," Torion Johnson said. "If you can just give him the attention he wants. He has that good disposition. Good for any size family. He's not too big for kids to play with. He's not too small to be tripped over. He's perfect size for any size family."

Johnson also said Von can be the perfect companion.

"He can ride anywhere," Johnson said. "He is big enough to be let alone in the back seat and small enough to sit up front and not be a problem. He is also calm, so he should be okay to ride wherever you want."

If you're interested in adopting Von, just contact the Nacogdoches Animal Shelter off the loop. They're open Monday through Saturday but closed on Sundays.
