SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

Caddo sheriff's detectives are sharing surveillance video in hopes of identifying who shot a Shreveport businessman in the hand.

The exchange of gunfire happened at 7:47 p.m. Dec. 29 at Creamer Furniture in the 5100 block of Shreveport-Blanchard Highway (Louisiana Highway 173).

Robert Creamer was in an apartment behind his furniture business when the 78-year-old heard a noise and dogs barking, authorities said.

Armed with a gun, he went to investigate.

A male wearing a red bandanna over his face and a dark-colored hoodie shot Creamer, wounding him in one of his hands, when the store owner entered the garage.

Creamer returned fire. It was not immediately known whether the intruder was wounded.

Caddo Fire District 1 personnel took Creamer to Willis-Knighton North for treatment.

Authorities ask anyone with any information about the shooting to call Caddo sheriff’s Detective Keith Fox at (318) 675-2170 or Caddo-Shreveport Crime Stoppers at (318) 673-7373.
