LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) -

Penny is a 2-year-old terrier mix that is looking for a new home and a second chance at love.

Penny is waiting on a daily basis at the Winnie Berry Humane Society. Penny was brought in by a family that could not take care of her anymore and now is wanting to fill the void in someone else's heart. Penny can be very playful and also very calm and loving.

"She's real sweet," said Director Mike Stephens. "She likes to sit in your lap, plays with toys. She's looking for a good family. She was with a family that just couldn't keep her anymore.  She will do well in apartment living. Being able to get out and exercise and have some walks or someone that has a yard and an individual with a house and yard."

If you're interested in adopting Penny, she's again at the Winnie Berry Humane Society off North John Redditt  Drive in Lufkin. They're open Monday to Saturday but closed on Sundays.
