NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) -

A Nacogdoches man was found dead after a vehicle was discovered in a cluster of trees off the loop Friday morning.

According to a police report, officers responded to the 4100 block of Southeast Stallings Drive around 9:45 a.m. Drivers had noticed a disturbed area in the grass along the shoulder of the road and stopped to investigate, suspecting a vehicle had left the south side of the road.

They then discovered a late-model pickup truck wedged in a cluster of trees, which was not visible from the road.

A justice of the peace pronounced Andrew Anderson Herring, 38, dead at the scene.

It is not known what time the wreck occurred.
