LPD identifies person shot during overnight robbery at north Lufkin barber shop

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) -

Lufkin Police are continuing their investigation of an overnight robbery that took place at a north Lufkin business Saturday night.

According to the department, Marc Menefee, 41, of Lufkin was shot by one of three suspects. The suspects walked into his shop, Menefee's Barbershop, located on the 300 block of Kurth Drive around 9:45 pm. and asked the price of a haircut before pulling handguns and demanding money. 

One of three suspects then shot Menefee in the calf before they fled the scene in dark-colored, blue or gray Nissan Altima. The vehicle was last seen headed inbound on Kurth Drive toward Timberland Drive, according to LPD. 

Menefee was treated at Woodland Heights Medical Center and is expected to make a full recovery. Menefee told detectives that he did not know the suspects but described them as three young, black males. One of the wore dreadlocks according to Menefee.
