LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - There are many reasons a dog has the name it has. Dazzler is no exception.
"I think she was given the name Dazzler because of her wonderful personality," said Kurth Memorial Animal;l Shelter Director Aaron Ramsey. "She is very active and likes to run and play."
The 2-year-old hound mix was brought into the Kurth Animal Shelter as an owner surrender, but not much more is known about her. Ramsey said she seems to be well behaved and over the puppy years.
"The things you see with a very young dog, I think she has outgrown that stage, and she is ready for a good home to go to and some training," Ramsey said.
Ramsey said she seems to have a working dog background and could be good on a ranch.
"With a little bit of training, I think she would make a great dog," Ramsey said. "She can pick up on obedience training very well and following commands."
Her appearance on BFF comes at the right time with one day left in the shelter's monthly special.
"We have a special event going on and Friday is the last day," Ramsey said. "You can adopt an animal including Dazzler with just a $10 minimum donation to our vetting fund."
After tomorrow, the adoption fee on Dazzler goes back up to $60. Anyone interested in adopting Dazzler can stop by the Kurth Memorial Animal Shelter.
