LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - He is only 1, but Mack Davis is already taking after his father Cooper Davis, the reigning World Champion of the Professional Bull Riders.
In a video posted by Mack's mother Kaitlyn, the child can be seen taking a ride on his inflatable bull out of a kid-sized chute. After ending his run, Mack took time to get up and give a good celebration with his cowboy hat.
Cooper, Mack's dad, is a familiar name in East Texas. Davis is from Buna. Last year, Davis earned some bragging rights at the PBR 2016 Built Ford Tough World Finals when he walked away with the world champion trophy.
Although Davis finished third at the World Finals, his point total for the year was high enough that he edged past former No. 1 bull rider Kaique Pacheo of Itatiba, Brazil and 2015 World Champion J.B. Mauney of Mooresville, North Carolina. Davis is getting ready for a weekend ride at Souix Falls.
