NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) -

Officers with the Nacogdoches Police Department are looking for a man who tried to rob a Petsense employee at knife point Thursday morning.

Sgt. Greg Sowell, a spokesman for the Nacogdoches Police Department, said NPD officers responded to a suspicious person call at the Petsense store located at 4909 North Street at about 12:05 p.m. Thursday.

When they arrived on the scene, a Petsense employee told them a man had come into the store 20 minutes earlier and asked for change. The man then allegedly displayed a small knife in an attempt to get money from the employee, Sowell said. The man fled on foot after other customers entered the store.

Sowell said no money was taken and no one was injured.

The suspect was described as a white man with a beard and several tattoos who is about 5-foot-9. He was last seen wearing a pink T-shirt and blue jeans.

The Nacogdoches PD officers were unable to locate the suspect.

Anyone with any information about the attempted robbery should call Nacogdoches Crime Stoppers at (936) 560-4636 or the Nacogdoches Police Department's Criminal Investigation Division at (936) 559-2607.
