NACOGDOCHES, Texas (Press Release) – Following his performance at Stephen F. Austin’s Pro Day last Wednesday, quarterback Zach Conque has been requested to attend Baylor’s Pro Day on Wednesday, April 5th in Waco, working out for a number of NFL scouts and team representatives.
Conque put up some impressive numbers in front of a handful of NFL scouts last week, clocking times of 4.56 in the 40-yard dash, 4.28 in the 20-yard shuttle and 6.84 in the three-cone drill. Conque also showed his athleticism in the jumps, posting a 36.5” vertical jump and a 10’3” broad jump.
The former Lumberjack signal caller ran through a 25-play pass script during SFA’s Pro Day, then went through a 45-minute individual workout showing his abilities at the tight end position. Conque is expected to work out as both a tight end and quarterback in Waco.
Conque will be one of eight non-Baylor players participating in the Bears’ Pro Day in addition to 14 Baylor players. The workout will be one of the final opportunities for Conque and the rest of the participants leading into the 2017 NFL Draft, being held April 27-29 in Philadelphia.
