Mt. Vernon softball player involved in Friday night wreck

KTRE -

A Mount Vernon ISD Softball Player is in the hospital following a one-vehicle wreck on Friday night.

According to the Mt. Vernon Lady Tiger Softballs Facebook page, Sydney Brown was “seriously injured in a car accident following tonight's [Friday’s] game."

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office says it happened around 8:45 p.m. on FM 2723 just north of County Road 4250, near Mount Vernon. They say Brown was the only one involved.

Her condition is not known at this time, but the Facebook page states that she was “care flighted to a Tyler with multiple serious injuries.

It goes on to say, she is being moved from the ER to ICU in stable condition. Please continue to pray for her and her family.”
