Deputies Matthews and Wilson responded to Quality Inn located on Hwy 59 South and were able to located Dixon where he was placed under arrest.

Dixon was transported to the Angelina County Jail on the following warrants; third-degree felony for evading arrest or detention with a vehicle, possession of a controlled substance, criminal mischief, deadly conduct and display fictitious registration.

Deputies had previously arrested the passenger of the vehicle, Haley Leann Flowers, 24, of Lufkin, on March 16. She was released later that day after she posted a bail amount of $500, according to the jail website.
