NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - The group "Watercolor East Texas," commonly known as WET, works hard year long promoting the arts across our region. The local artists behind the movement will host a "Spring Fling Fundraiser" this Saturday.
There will be chicken spaghetti dinners, but the big attraction is a wide variety of original art and collectibles.
They'll all be sold during the event at a silent and open auction.
With all of the money raised going to support a summer exhibit.
"Our Spring Fling Fundraiser is to raise money for the awards and we started last year and we hope to continue each year giving a scholarship to SFA students," said Ann Holloway, president of WET. "And the scholarship fund will grow each year and it can only grow with our fundraiser."
Watercolor East Texas Spring Fling Fundraiser is Saturday at 5 p.m. at North Street Church of Christ in Nacogdoches. Plates are $8.
