ADVISORY - President Bush Speech Tonight

President Bush takes to the airwaves tonight to argue that now is not the time to give up on Iraq.

The address from Fort Bragg in North Carolina marks the anniversary of Iraq regaining its sovereignty. But the speech's main goal is to halt the slide in public support for the war.

Aides acknowledge Americans are worried by continuing scenes of carnage -- and want an explanation from the commander-in-chief.

The president will appeal for patience and resolve and he'll call Iraq the central front in the war on terror.

While critics say his invasion is what made it that, he'll maintain the terrorists made that choice.

The president insists he's got a winning strategy in Iraq -- which starts with training Iraqi security forces and helping Iraq with a new constitution.

That speech can be seen tonight beginning at 7:00 p.m., right here on KTRE.
