LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - Bitsy is a 5 year-old chihuahua that is ready for a new home.
"She was actually found," Winnie Berry Humane Society Director Mike Stephens said. "We know she belonged to someone and taken care of from what we can tell."
The staff at the shelter said Bitsy is calm and just content to relax, but she is also ready to give out her love.
"She would be great with single or older folks," Stephens said. "Either one would be great with Bittsy. As you can see, she is just relaxed as can be. She doesn't take up a lot of space so apartment living is great for her."
With Bitsy's small size, she is perfect for anyone with a tight budget.
"She is not going to eat a whole lot," Stephens said. "She is a little dog and her requirements are going to be a lot smaller than say Max, our big bull dog."
Anyone interested in Bitsy can stop by the Winnie Berry Humane Society to look at her. The Society is opened from 10-5 Monday - Saturday.
Bitsy and the other shelter dogs got a nice gift today from GVCS Whataburger today. The company stopped by to present a $1,000 check to the shelter. The money was from a fundraiser event held. The shelter raised almost $500 but the company added to the total. The money will go to help get supplies for the animals.
