ANGELINA COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - Angelina County game wardens responded to two requests for water rescues Sunday night during severe thunderstorms.
Between 7 and 8 p.m. Sunday, officials were called to two separate rescues.
The first occurred when two people became stranded at Sam Rayburn Lake by the State Highway 147 bridge. The duo told officials that their boat broke down during the storms. A game warden was able to help them reach safety.
The second rescue occurred about the same time. Those people involved were able to swim to shore after their boat sank into the lake.
Officials say no one was injured in the incidents.
