Lufkin PD investigating after road rage allegedly leads to shooting

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) -

Lufkin police are investigating a road rage incident where someone allegedly fired shots at a vehicle that had an infant inside.

The incident happened in the 2800 block of John Redditt Drive, Sunday at 2 a.m.

Complainants tell police they were following a gray van that was being driven erratically. The van reportedly pulled over to the outside lane.

The van driver fired a small handgun in the direction of the car passing by. Inside that car were a five-month-old baby and the parents.

According to police, the suspect attempted to ram the vehicle. No one was hit or hurt.

Police are looking for the van driver, described as a white male in his 60's or 70's. He was last seen wearing a black hat with a round flat brim.
