More charges have been filed against a Lufkin mother accused of beating and starving two children.

Bennedetha Buckjune is now charged with two counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child. She's accused of making her 13- and 14-year-old stepdaughters have sexual contact with her.

Buckjune already faced multiple charges, including injury to a child. Investigators believe she tortured and abused the girls and often kept them out of school.

The girls' father, Joshua Buckjune, was arrested and charged with endangering a child by omission.
