From CHI St. Luke's Health
CHI St. Luke's Health-Memorial is lending its support to the Trinity community as hospital leadership looks to pursue a management service agreement with the Trinity Memorial Hospital District Board and its outpatient clinic.
Two years ago, the hospital's current managing partner announced it would no longer provide service in Trinity after July 2017.
"We understand that the residents in Trinity are facing a serious health care challenge," said CHI St. Luke's Health-Memorial Market CEO Monte Bostwick. "Everyone deserves high quality health care close to home. We want to provide that for the people of Trinity by retaining the outpatient providers they've come to know and love at their ETMC Physicians' Clinic and by offering any assistance necessary."
Once negotiations are approved, the Physicians Clinic which is located at 315 Prospect in Trinity, Texas, would be rebranded as Memorial Clinics. At this time, CHI St. Luke's Health does not anticipate any job loss at the Clinic with the transition.
In addition to pursuing the management agreement, the Human Resources Department at the CHI St. Luke's Health-Memorial also has hosted job fairs for the inpatient and ER staff to help place those employees within the Livingston or Lufkin hospitals.
Trinity Memorial Hospital District Board members say they are most grateful to CHI St. Luke's Health-Memorial for the effort it is making to bring quality health care to Trinity. "Our board has worked tirelessly to ensure that health care will continue in Trinity. We know that with CHI St. Luke's Health as our managing partner, health care will not only continue but will grow and serve even more in the years to come," said Randy Karnes, Board President.
Members of the Executive Committee, Margie Pulvino and Carlyn Bluis, echo these sentiments and add that "CHI St. Luke's Health-Memorial brings faith-based health care to our community, a community of faith named Trinity, CHI St. Luke's Health-Memorial's coming is a blessing."
