Summer camp is over for a group of Lufkin kids, but this was no ordinary summer camp.
The Concerned Black Men of Lufkin sponsored the annual youth basketball camp for dozens of Lufkin students. Basketball drills, bowling, and skating are just a few activities the kids got to participate in this year.
They even went to an exciting field trip to Houston Tuesday night.
Destine Denning said she enjoyed "playing basketball [and] the Houston Comets game."
The five-week summer camp is for children in first through ninth grades. Organizers make sure there's something for everyone to enjoy.
Colton McCoy said, "We've been doing triple threats, playing basketball, and shooting hoops, and stuff like that."
