SAN AUGUSTINE COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - Deputies with the San Augustine County Sheriff's Office arrested a 27-year-old man Wednesday in connection to allegations that he sexually assaulted a woman numerous times and molested an underage girl.
Colton Blake Norton, of Center, is still being held in the San Augustine County Jail on three second-degree felony sexual assault charges and a third-degree felony indecency with a child charge.
According to the arrest affidavit, the woman stated that the first sexual assault occurred at a San Augustine County home. She said that she was in bed, and she woke up to Norton taking her panties off, the affidavit stated.
The woman tried to fight Norton off, but he was too strong. At that point, Norton allegedly sexually assaulted the woman.
Similar sexual assaults occurred during the weeks of June 12 through June 16 and June 19 through June 23, the affidavit stated.
After the three alleged sexual assaults, the victim took scalding hot shot showers.
In addition, the arrest affidavit stated that Chief Deputy John Welch with the San Augustine County Sheriff's Office attended a forensic interview at the Child Advocacy on July 24. The victim, a girl under the age of 17, said that when Norton visited their home, he would rub on her rear end whenever he walked behind her, the affidavit stated.
According to the affidavit, the girl would tell Norton to stop and try to get away from him.
