San Augustine health provider accused of sexually assaulting disabled woman

SAN AUGUSTINE COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

Deputies with the San Augustine County Sheriff's Office have arrested a San Augustine woman accused of sexually assaulting a woman with Down Syndrome.

Bobbie Jewel Jones, 60, is charged with aggravated sexual assault.

Jones was a home health provider and accused of sexually assaulting the daughter of a client.

According to an arrest affidavit, a deputy was sent to a home in the county on July 21. He reported that a man said Jones was his home health provider and had sexually assaulted his daughter.

The father said his daughter came up to him and said she needed to talk to him. He said his daughter was really upset and crying and then described how Jones had touched her inappropriately.

On July 22, the father told the deputy he got Jones to admit to sexually assaulting his daughter, according to the affidavit.

The sheriff's office obtained a warrant for Jones arrest on Thursday.
