LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - Angelina County United Way is entering its 70th year of campaigning for the annual fundraiser.
The organization announced Wednesday they aim to raise $315,000 to benefit its 17 agencies.
United Way said their pillars are serving are food clothing and shelter, but have goals to expand platforms to education as well.
"It allows our agencies to stay strong. We feel the donations that we raise through United Way can help these wonderful agencies continue their great effort," said Hunter Haglund, campaign chair for the upcoming year.
The organization will start campaigning on September 1.
