JASPER, TX (KTRE) -

Jasper police have arrested a Kirbyville woman accused of giving birth to a baby who tested positive for meth in May.

Jessica Lee Dubose, 34, is charged with endangering a child.

According to Lt. Gerald Foster, an investigator met with CPS on May 9. CPS told him that Dubose had given birth to a child the day before and had tested positive for meth.

CPS removed the baby from Dubose's care and said they would conduct a test on the newborn, but the results would not be available for several days, Foster said.

The test later came back positive for meth, Foster said.

Dubose was arrested on the charge on Monday.
