Salvation Army Standing By If Needed After Hurricane Emily Strikes

As residents along the Southern Texas coast get ready for Emily, relief from all over the state is on its way.  Some of that help is coming from Lufkin.

Tuesday morning, a mobile feeding unit from the Lufkin Salvation Army Office as well as two volunteers left for San Antonio.  They'll wait there until they receive word that their help is needed where Emily causes problems.

Other units from around the state have already left San Antonio for the Brownsville area.

The Salvation Army will be ready to provide meals, snacks and drinks.

As well as emotional and spiritual counseling.
