Two former Angelina County athletes now making a good living in sports took to Twitter Thursday night to show their support for the Lufkin Little League All-Star team.
Dallas Cowboys wide receiver and former Lufkin Panther re-tweeted scores from Thursday's game and at one point tweeted "LUFKIN TEXAS STAND UP!" after a home run.
Lufkin advanced to the winner's bracket after a 5-1 win over Michigan. They play the New England Regional Champions from Fairfield, Conn., Sunday at 10 a.m.
San Francisco Giant and former Hudson Hornet Brandon Belt also posted on Twitter, saying " Want to wish Lufkin Little League good luck representing the Southwest at the LLWS this week."
