NPD: Officers went to check out suspicious activity, found man with illegal drugs

NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) -

Officers with the Nacogdoches Police Department arrested an 18-year-old man early Monday morning after they went to check out a report of suspicious activity and found him to be in possession of drugs.

Andrew Joseph Dejean, of Nacogdoches, is still being held in the Nacogdoches County Jail on a first-degree felony possession of a controlled substance between 1 and 400 grams charge, a second-degree felony possession of a controlled substance between 4 and 200 grams charge, and a Class B misdemeanor possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces charge. No bail amounts have been set for his charges yet.

According to the Nacogdoches Police Department’s daily activity report, the arrest occurred at a home in the 800 block of North Mound Street at about 12:32 a.m. Monday. NPD officers went to check out a suspicious activity report and found several people at the scene, including Dejean.

Dejean was found to be in possession of drugs, but the report did not specify what kinds of illegal narcotics were found in his possession.
