JASPER COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - A 93-year-old man died as a result of injuries he suffered in a two-vehicle wreck that occurred on State Highway 63 in Jasper County Sunday afternoon. Two other people were injured in the collision.
According to a press release from the Texas Department of Public Safety, 1995 Chevrolet pickup driven by Charles Moss was traveling south on County Road 110 when he failed to yield the right of way at the Highway 63 intersection at about 12:30 p.m. Sunday.
A 2015 Dodge Durango driven by Summer Keen, 33, of Jasper, hit Moss' truck on the driver's side door, the press release stated.
Moss was transported to Jasper Memorial Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. He died at the hospital a short time later, the press release stated.
The passenger in Moss' Chevrolet, Sally Mitchell, 75, of Jasper, was taken to Jasper Memorial Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Keen was also taken to Jasper Memorial for treatment of non-life\-threatening injuries.
The crash is still under investigation.
