The Lufkin All-Star team’s winning streak is giving their family members plenty of time to find hobbies at the facility.
One of the long-standing traditions is pins. A lot of the sponsors and surrounding businesses will make a unique pin every year so many become collectables and some young East Texans are learning the art of the deal.
"It’s pretty fun. I have only been doing it for two weeks," said Chase Kovar, the brother of outfielder Kolby Kovar. "I've had fun."
"There are two good kids here and we have had fun," said Steve Werner of Cookstown, Pa. "I wish them a lot of luck today. And go Texas and I hope Texas moves on."
Family members are not the only ones getting into the pin trading. The players get even rarer pins and are also taking part in the trade market.
